Piece of Keik episode 9: Meet Mickey Mouse. @academytravel recently hosted us (@colormecourtney @colormeparis @retrorecipeskitchen) on an Alaskan @disneycruiseline and I still have so much to share! (Narrated by Baz Jones) Mickey Mouse and friends wore their special Alaska outfits for glacier viewing day, and we made sure to dress accordingly. Well, most of us. 😉 This was one of my favorite days of the cruise, because the views were absolutely otherworldly. We had brunch at Palo after our morning of photos with the characters (and some whale watching!) and had the perfect view while enjoying our meal. Once we were done, we were right at the glacier and we made sure to spend all day outside! Tip: there is an optional excursion on glacier day, where you leave the ship and take a smaller boat to get closer to the glacier. We originally had it booked but canceled, and decided to try our luck (and save $) by staying on the ship. I’m so glad we did! We got so close, and there was much more room on the ship to get gorgeous photos and videos. The smaller boats didn’t get that much closer, and were pretty crowded. Apparently that isn’t always the case that the ship gets so close, so we got lucky. But it saved us a lot of money and ended up being the best experience. Just some food for thought!
