“Oh please Captain, love them all.” The lakeside terrace of the Villa Von Trapp in “The Sound of Music” can be found at Schloss Leopoldskron south of Salzburg. The gate with the stone horses was moved some meters. That’s also why you can‘t see the trees on my pics. They are still there just a stone’s throw away. The Venetian Salon on the first floor, was completely replicated in order to be used as a film setting for the ball room scene. It was also the backdrop for the private performance of the marionette theater.
