Here’s why you WANT your people to quit your company👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 (Eventually.) I’m not gonna lie - as a heart centered, Divinely Feminine leader with a huge maternal instinct - I fall in love with my staff. My team becomes more than just my employees - they become my family. And so, when they spread their wings and fly away - it’s traditionally led to heartbreak. This has been my biggest growth edge as a leader. To accept the fact that no one’s gonna love your company the same way you do. Your employees biggest priority is to…. themselves. And that’s…… Okay. It’s actually more than okay, it’s beautiful. It’s necessary. It’s the natural order of how your business should evolve. If your business is growing, some of your employees will leave you. But the caveat is that your business outgrows them too. (Sometimes you can only see this in hindsight.) Accepting this, and seeing the VALUE of this, changed how I show up as a CEO. How I handle when people leave. To make it a moment of selfless celebration versus selfish sadness. Because if YOU did your job well as a leader, and THEY did their job well as an employee, everyone won. That’s called leadership. That’s called equanimity. That’s called right relationship. That’s called harmony. That’s called Love. Because being a leader is hard, and Love always wins.
