More than 40 prominent New Mexican community leaders, deeply entrenched in the battle against oil and gas extraction, are gearing up for a transformative journey to New York City to participate in the March to End Fossil Fuels, a mass mobilization taking place before the United Nations Climate Ambitions Summit. The New Mexico Delegation will deliver a declaration and join global advocates in calling on President Biden and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to lead the way in phasing out fossil fuels. We share the reasons we march as we bring together organizers across the state working in the Permian Basin, Greater Chaco Initiative, and New Mexico No False Solutions Coalition.
