This one’s out September 19th! This was a great start to what I suspect will an amazing series! I’m such a fan of Lourey’s gritty plots and Steinbeck and Reed made for fantastic leads, both complicated and easily compelling! I also really enjoyed that Van was such an intriguing and strong heroine! Full of suspense and action, this true crime mystery and police procedural has interconnecting stories from the past and present as we dive deep in a cold case that seems to be resurfacing. This story may have wrapped up nicely by the end but it certainly finishes with an open door and I’m excited to see more from this dynamic investigating duo! Bonus!
