URGENT!! WE NEED 10 FOSTER HOMES STARTING SATURDAY 9/16!!! It’s been a quiet summer — we had to pause intake in June because we couldn’t find enough foster homes to help with the dogs already in our care, so we couldn’t take in new ones. We've said this over and over, but without committed foster families, we can’t rescue animals. We’ve never struggled so desperately or felt so defeated. Many other rescues did the same, and you’ve probably seen news stories about overflowing shelters nationwide. Post covid, the shelters are all over capacity, but the adoption and foster rates can’t begin to dream of keeping pace. We’re slowly restarting and praying that we’ll be able to find more help now that summer travel is slowing. Please, please give these animals a chance! We need help. We need to know you generous fosters are still out there willing to make sacrifices to save innocent lives. Every one of these babies is sweet, friendly, good with other dogs, and going through a lot right now as they get prepped to travel north (IF we can find places for them to stay). In the slides are: Norris, big 5-month-old Pyrenees mix at 50 lbs; Phelps, a 2-year-old, 69 lb shepherd mix boy that we already know is going to go totally unwanted simply because he’s neither small nor fluffy; Helga, an 8-week-old border collie mix only 4 lbs; Secilia, a stunning 5-month-old Dobie girl ready to be the ultimate companion in the right experienced hands; Eleanor, a 6-year-old Schipperke mix girl only 26 lbs; Hansel, an 8-week-old border collie baby boy; Baneberry, a playful 5-month-old shepherd mix boy 29 lbs; Mowgli, a 4-month-old Catahoula mix boy that’s crate and potty trained and good with cats; Herbert, a compact Chi/beagle boy at only 20 lbs. PLEASE HELP!!!! Pickup is Saturday morning 9/16, fostering lasts 2 to 4 weeks. PLEASE SHARE!!
