I discovered Chums when I moved to So Utah in 1993. Their retail store in Hurricane (pronounced Hur’kin if you’re a local) had just opened. I immediately fell in love with their wildly colorful designs and practical function. On that first day alone I purchased 20+ pairs so I’d always have “a pair to share!” Factoid: I’ve yet to give the Colorado River a single pair of my sunglasses ever since🤞🏽 For any history nerds like me 🤓, here’s their backstory: “Chums has a long history on the water. 40 years ago, a dory boat guide from So Utah (Mike Tagget) created the first Original cotton eyewear retainer on a $60 sewing machine inthe back of his VW van so that his customers wouldn't lose their glasses in the river.” * No paid endorsement here, just a true Chum and fan!
