📌How to make Mag or moong dal 2 different ways PARYUSHAN SPECIAL RECIPES ? Please note: skip green chilies, cilantro, lime juice and warm yogurt for paryushan Whole moong or mag and Khatta mag aka mag ni kadhi are my comfort food and I usually make this several times a week. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I love to make mag on delayed timer in an instant pot when I step out to do chores and want to come back home to see the dinner being ready. I like to make khatta mag with over cooked rice and it tastes so comforting together. These recipes are easy to make for paryushand. Checkout the recipes below and follow for more paryushan recipes👇🏾 Mag or whole moong 1 cup whole moong soaked for 30 minutes 2-3 green chilies options 1/4 tsp asafatedida 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp red chili powder 2 tsp cumin coriander powder Salt as needed 2 tablespoon lime juice 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 2 cups water Khatta mag aka mag ni kadhi 1/2 cup cooked whole moong 1/2 cup yogurt (warm it for paryushan) 1/4 cup chickpea flour 1 cup water or more as needed Salt as needed 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon lime juice if yogurt is not sour (optional) 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds 1/4 tsp asafetida powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional) 1 chopped green chili (optional) or can use 3-4 dry red chilies Please note that the Paryushan festival is all about fasting and sacrifising and this recipe is not meant to promote food consumption during the festival.
