You may remember the 1980 Vending find we discovered this summer. It took us a couple months, but we have pulled every Rickey Henderson, Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose and every other major star from each of the FIVE HUNDRED vending sets. These sets were assembled out of vending cases, hundreds and hundreds of vending cases back in 1980 by our consignor. They have sat in his house in sealed sets ever since. We’re still vetting the cards, but I suspect we will have over a thousand cards to get graded from these boxes. These cards are NICE. We’re splitting the subs between our friends at @psacard and @sgcgrading. Also- it’s very interesting to see how condition of these cards differ. There are 500+ of every card, while there are 100+ gradeable of some cards, there are only a handful of nice copies of others. Out of 500+ Nolan Ryan’s (directly out of vending) we might be only submitting around 40-50. On the hand, some cards that come out clean, we’re submitting 2-3 times that.
