Over 40 National @Aero.Press Champions gathered at in Vancouver last December to face-off at WAC 22. They’ve bagged a golden Aeropress at their national level but for this year, these big hitters would also find an honoured place in the collector’s pack of WAC Trading Cards ✨ We had kept this trading card idea in our locker for a few years, never really having an opportunity to recreate the classic layout and offset print texture in a new out-of-context world. The WAC 22 Brand felt like the perfect place to finally execute the concept and we’re so stoked on the result. These cards were used to officially announce each national winner to the digital world, a way to size up the competition and for fans to find someone to root for. Enlarged versions of the cards would also track proceedings on the official scoreboard, as losers would cascade from the board and winners would move slowly to the ‘winner’s circle’ 🥇 Out of the heartbroken heroes only one would raise the banner for their country and in this year that would be the ‘Thunder from Down Under,’ @jibbi.the.littles 🏆 …And as fate would have it, her home country would be the host of the competition this year.
