My big news ✨ I have a story to tell you. About 12 years ago, I landed a job at a bike shop and laid eyes on this bike That was probably the most prestigious of one all I’ve ever seen. I knew I had to have it. The design was slick and it looked fast. It was totally unaffordable for me at the time as I was skating, going to school and working two part time jobs to afford living. After working for a few months and saving all my dollars, I ended up buying this dream bike even though it came with 42 handlebars and 172.5 crank arms (see third slide). It didn’t matter; It was my new baby. I named it “Stardust”, and ended up riding that 10 speed BMC ProMachine with so much love, and that passion later turned into me riding unnecessary distances for fun, because I had discovered a new love for exploring, and going fast, on a very sexy bike. I am now racing in Europe and landing top 10 spots in races, on the same brand. Fast forward 12 years, I am here to tell you that I have only ever ridden BMC bikes, because it aligned with how I saw myself as an athlete and human, and I liked how it performed. I rode many other bikes in between yet nothing felt the same. This past April, one of my biggest cycling dreams came true. I signed a contract and joined the BMC family as an official Athlete for @ride_bmc. I remember the meeting on FaceTime when I was welcomed and I just started crying like a baby. I never imagined this would ever happen. It means the world because I live and breathe this brand, ever since day 1. I am beyond grateful to join this powerhouse moving forward, along side other amazing people in this family. This is now the ultimate step for me to achieve my performance cycling goals in the future.
