Also known as “the purple cone flower” this very flower may be in your garden or field and you may unaware of it’s amazing benefits for your health. Echinacea Spp. has the ability to boost your immune system. I’ll often take it right when I’m feeling I’m coming down with something. And it will almost always help. It’s a fabulous blood cleanser and is great defense against bacteria and viruses. We use this plant as our “herbal antibiotic” Couple times I’ve had to use it is: this week actually with a sore throat and feeling sick I took it immediately, my flue like symptoms only lasted one evening and no sinus infection🙌 I’ve taken it as a remedy against strep throat, I use to get this often. So paired with homeopathy it worked well. 🩹also had Jeremy on it a few weeks ago. He cut his leg with a metal grinder, and the next day it was severely infected. I pulse tested him (I’m new at this but Its fascinating) and had him on echinacea, plantain, and calendula. (Echinacea, blood cleanser, and antibiotic, Plantain to draw the infection out, and calendula-good for hot swollen, pus filled wounds) You can also use it for lymphatic congestion, and general “rundown feeling” (although I think holy basil makes a fine go-to revitalize energy) As well as staph infections, fevers, strep, measles, chicken pox and more. Externally my mother in law put this plant on a bee sting, and about an hour later she couldn’t even tel you where on her arm she was stung. 🐝 This plant stands tall and mighty and lets the other flowers know it’s powerful with it’s hedgehog like cone. You can use the entire plant to make a tincture, but I’ve really only had it in tincture form as a root. (Which you harvest in the fall after 3-4 years of growth) You can use it as a tincture, infusion, ddecoction, and compress. It’s truly amazing! Are you growing this plant in your garden??
