Today’s spin is Pearl Jam - No Code (1996) No Code is the fourth studio album by Pearl Jam. It’s not only my favorite PJ record, it might possibly be my favorite album of all-time. I dig its weirdness. I can remember the first time I heard the lead single off this album, “Who You Are” on the radio. It wasn’t like anything I ever heard before. It reminded me of a giant singalong around a campfire led by @eddievedder. (I always felt like it would be the perfect play-to-behind-the-stage song.) My college roommate was already pretty into PJ, and my journey was just beginning. We scored tickets to the Ft Lauderdale show…and then my life changed forever. The band blew me away. As cliche as it sounds, it was a religious experience. I was 100% in. I felt like I needed to absorb anything and everything the band ever put out like my life depended on it. Pearl Jam and I became one. I’m two days away from seeing Pearl Jam in Ft Worth! At the top of my wishlist for every PJ show I attend is “Lukin” into “Not For You”. Give me that 1-2 combo, and I’m a happy guy.
