Without a doubt, one of the most indelible memories I made at last weekend’s @holleylsfest was the moment stuntman @jim_york nosedived his LS-powered Buick Roadmaster wagon into flatground dirt at well over 60mph from nearly (or more than?) 20 feet high. “F—!” I thought. “He might be dead.” Leading up to the jump, there was a lot of talk about how he was chasing a world record of some kind or another, and he spent a lot of time working with the ground crew to get the angle of the dirt jump to his liking. There was some semblance of a down-ramp, and I was expecting a *reasonably* civil landing. But when he overshot the landing significantly (breaking the record easily), plummeted to the ground, and violently rolled several times over to a deadly silent crowd, I feared the worst. And then he emerged, high on horse-killing levels of adrenaline and sugar-free @redbull (last pic), and I felt relief like never before.
