About last weekend... My reach here dropped to less than 2 percent of my followers. I do get messages from Instagram the whole time that I should promote my posts to reach people or that I should make a reel to reach people. And I also see that some people that I follow indeed pay to reach people. How about you? Do you pay to let people see your work? I won't do that. Seems that Instagram is suppressing the reach deliberately to make you pay. On my website I reach about 5 times more people than here. On 500px about 15 times more. Instagram is currently, after Viewbug, the worst place to share photos. 😅 I do get to see on my home feed a lot of reels, photos and ads that I don't want to see. And I heard many other people experience the same. Another reason why I like 500px much better: on their home feed you just see photos of people you follow in a chronological order. If you don't want to see ads, you can pay a small amount and then it's super clean. By the way, also on my website you won't see ads. 😉 So there are alternatives to Instagram that provide a better experience, in my opinion.
