Elbow lead recovery vs Hand lead recovery, the difference is like night and day 😎 We want our elbow to lead but often our hand is too dominant causing arm’s weight back, bad entry, sinking legs, less rotation, injuries and more 😢 To get an elbow lead recovery: ✅ Do progression 1-3 and use water as feedback to learn/get the body to understand. By dragging the forearm through the water (1) the water resistance shapes the arm and the hand will stay behind the elbow. Swing the elbow away and forward from the body, the shoulder’s movement is the key here 💧   Now we can bring the forearm a bit higher out of the water. The waterline is at the wrist (2). Keep the same movement and avoid the hand taking over 💧 Move on and get your fingertips to move through/on the surface (3), can you still do the same movement with your shoulder and arm? The higher you get, the less feedback from the water.
