This is me, no filter showing you a new skincare product that I have been loving BUT really sharing my story with you! 🫶🏽🥰👇🏽 I was born with an isolated cleft lip (cleft lip without a cleft palate) About 1 in every 2,800 babies is born with cleft lip without cleft palate in the United States. I had my one & only surgery to date at 3 months old. I grew up being bullied for my scar but truly have the best parents, siblings, family & close friends that have never once treated me like I am different. For whatever reason though, it has taken me this long to share my story and be vulnerable here on IG, maybe because this space is typically known for being a highlight reel (it shouldn’t just be the highlights) or the fact that when people do get vulnerable on here they are still being judged. Either way, I’d like to get past whatever fear has been holding me back and just be more transparent! My hope in doing this is that I inspire just one person whether or not your journey looks like mine. I hope to spread awareness because I believe that when people know better, they do better or at least they should.
