Half of my heart is always up high in the mountains, and the other half at home with the people I love. honestly, part of me feels like I’ll never be content in one place without the other and it scares me a little bit. The feeling of knowing there’s so much out there to see and experience leaves me feeling overwhelmed, like I’ll never do all the things I want to do, so I continue the chase. Finding the balance of chasing and having those experiences and also having the time nurture the relationships that mean most to me is hard. Maybe it’s just my late 20s, and I’m having a quarter life crisis for the millionth time, maybe I have a wild heart, all I know is it’s been hard to find balance. Balance between living my own life, fulfilling my own dreams and making sure I’m still present in the world that made me who I am today. Do any other travelers/adventurous souls ever feel guilty for chasing your dreams? I always have, but hearing this song realllly puts me in my feels about it and makes me cry lol. Crazy to think I’m getting the life I’ve always wanted, but now I’m realizing how much sacrifice it takes🥹 So grateful, just reflecting I guess.
