🥳I’VE GOT A NEW JOB🥳⁣ ⁣ This is totally unexpected, but I will be starting a new job in 2024! ⁣ ⁣ I had no intention of leaving my current role, but I was recently headhunted for an amazing opportunity and it would be silly for me to turn it down. While I have no major issues at my job, there are some things I don’t like that I don’t see changing (yes, I’ve raised these issues with my manager). ⁣ ⁣ Also, if you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know that I’m not afraid to move on from a job. I don’t have emotional ties to my employer and if an opportunity comes up that will progress my career and pay me more money, then I’ll have a exploratory conversation.⁣ ⁣ Now let’s just get to the fun part, the money! In my current position, I was eligible to get a bonus in December. However, as I’ve now resigned, I’ll no longer get this money. Fortunately, my new employer is going to ‘reimburse’ me for this when I join the firm. They’re actually going to give me a bit more than my target bonus! ⁣ ⁣ My salary will increase by 36% 🥳Compared to the 6% I was expecting from my pay review, I’m really looking forward to a much bigger paycheque! I don’t want to waste this extra cash, so I’ve been thinking a lot about how to budget this money.
