Godramstein - Weingut Münzberg - 2019 - Whitewine - VDP.Ortswein - Palatinate - Germany - 13,5% Grape Varieties: 100% Chardonnay Even if we are currently staying in the south of France, we did not want to deprive you of this great Chardonnay, which we tasted before the holiday. The VDP Weingut Münzberg cultivates over 18 hectares of vineyards in the Palatinate. The grapes on the Godramstein location grow under optimal conditions. The vines dig their roots deep into limestone and clay soils here. Without question, the Godramstein Chardonnay is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors. Fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation over 12 months in barrique made of oak wood. In the glass is a wonderful golden yellow with light silver reflections. On the palate, great flavours of pear, honey melon, citrus, grapefruit, lemongrass, toast, black bread and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, the estate-wine Chardonnay starts wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. Powerful with great melt and complex, this dense white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
