We're kicking off #HispanicHeritageMonth by highlighting the accomplishments of Sarah Ramirez (Orozco)! @smag_ramirez03 is an East Los Angeles native who has represented several teams including @commerce_water_polo , @uclawaterpolo , @newyorkac , @apuwaterpolo and most recently @biolawwp. She was named the first Head Coach in Biola women's water polo history when the program launched in 2020. Since then, Ramirez has led the Eagles to a WWPA Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Ramirez won a National Championship with UCLA during the 08-09 season alongside her sister @pris_gomez12 . With a strong faith-based background, Sarah aims "to use #waterpolo to develop Christian women to integrate their faith into all aspects of life [and] guide [them] through the developmental process in experiencing a renewal of heart, mind and spirit through faith and sport." Ramirez was inducted to the City of Commerce Hall of Champions in 2015 and hopes to continue influencing the Hispanic community by encouraging high performance goals and building more diverse groups & teams within the sport. #HHM #LatinxHeritageMonth
