Since 2014, JAF has specialized in the long-term care of animals birth defects and neurological disorders. 67 animals have permanent residence, including Rhaego, the blind leopard gecko with cleft nostrils surrendered in 2019 and the most recent surrender, Rio, a juvenile crested gecko with three feet instead of four.
