"Max Power era" by @thombatemanphoto 📸 Some of you may have read similar on my page before but this is for any new followers - There's no school, like the old skool! As much as I love modern day sport, super and luxury cars, my heart is in the late 90's and early 2000's with the supercar of the working class - The Cossie! It was a dream come true being handed the keys of @jamiewalsh_thepropertyguy's 3dr Cossie for the weekend, even better that I had Thom on hand for these retail park cruise style photos you'd see in the back of a Max Power magazine - he smashed the brief! When I was 19 I had a S2 RS Turbo - it was my first proper fast car, although temperamental and unreliable, I loved it. All my older mates had Sapphire Cossie's back in the day (I couldn't afford the insurance) and we did countless Southend runs, upsetting modern sports cars and super cars on the way while in comfort with a little stop at Basildon Maccy D's and then on to Thurrock for some street racing. I loved this era. I was in my late teens/early 20's. Garage music, Oasis, The Streets, baggy jeans, Reebok Classics, Nokia phones etc - Just enough technology to send a text but still actually interacting with people in real life, whether that's cruising somewhere or sitting in the local Tesco car park! Good times.
