Happy Saturday and wish you a wonderful weekend dear friends. Some photos of me on location again for this weekend. I loved Scotland and Scotland really wanted me to be in love with it because it treated me like a queen. The sky parted its clouds most days when I went to see something special and only rarely did it threatened me with heavy skies as most of the time it was utterly gorgeous. Many said that I had been very lucky. I consider myself to be lucky indeed for Scottish weather is volatile. Apparently it is the top reason that people don't plan holidays there as much. Most photos I had seen of the places I wanted to visit were with heavy skies or with fog which I wanted to experience but didn't witness for fair weather was my destiny. I was also warned about midges since we travelled and stayed near lochs. Midges are small fly like insects that bite like mosquitos. The Scottish Midges are said to often loom like a clouds over the landscape at the height of the season but not one bit me. Midges are one of the reasons for the relatively low population of the Scottish Highlands and help keep the wildernesses wild. They help to keep large areas free of human interference than they may otherwise have been. What is more, they are a food source for a number of important wild creatures, such as bats. September seems ideal for travelling to Scotland without too many crowds and the midges were non existent.
