Not only are we killing our planet, we’re killing its defenders too. In the last decade, almost 2,000 environmental defenders were killed for their activism. Over a third of them (36%) are Indigenous. Most murders were in Latin America – with Colombia being the most dangerous country in the world to be an environmental defender. This post is dedicated to all of those who have bravely stood up to defend human rights, their land, and our shared planet.
