Are you a cat lover, but can’t have them indoors? Meet Basil and Pesto, two charming feline companions who may not be ready for cuddles on your lap but are perfect for the role of barn cats. These handsome boys thrive as barn kitties and are eager to take on the role of guardians for your property. Basil and Pesto, as their names suggest, complement each other beautifully. You'll frequently find them in our catio, where they diligently observe birds and critters passing by. When not engrossed in nature, they enjoy playtime, chasing toy mice, and socializing with their fellow feline friends. Pesto is the more assertive of the two, while Basil tends to take a more reserved approach. While they may not be accustomed to being held or petted, they'll gradually warm up to you once they've built trust. These future barn cats are well-acquainted with indoor/outdoor (catio) living, making them well-suited for the role. Although they appear nearly identical, you can distinguish them by their unique features: Basil appears as if he's dipped his mouth in coffee, whereas Pesto has a coffee spot on the left side of his nose. Please note that for barn cats, we require a fully enclosed, spacious imprinting space to house them for at least a month, preferably six weeks. Maintaining this space ensures they have a safe den when not patrolling the area. They will still need to be fed (they LOVE canned food) and have fresh water provided for them daily.
