Ready for a relaxing Saturday evening? What a great room to spend a weekend evening in, reading a book, catching up on emails, or talking with family. It is a great looking library – workstation - sitting room, with an entire wall of nicely built-in bookshelves, each filled with colorful leather bound books. To break up the long line of books and shelves is a very well done 19th century landscape oil painting in a 19th century gilt wood elaborate frame. To the right, next to the bookshelf is an antique table which makes a very usable desk, and which has a laptop computer on it. There is also a large early 19th century armchair to use at the desk. In the center of the bookshelves is a very comfortable looking sofa upholstered in a soft pale green velvet. The opposite side of the sofa has an antique table with a glazed porcelain or pottery vase made into a lamp, which matches the lamp on the desk table. There is a little bit of a Spanish and rustic touch to the room also, with the beamed ceiling and the very large 16 light iron chandelier. Another antique nicely placed is the pair of 19th century arm chairs with turned arms and blue upholstered seats, which are off to the left. The large coffee table with a wooden top and black iron base provide plenty of room for books or magazines and in this case, a lovely small floral arrangement in a pot. The base of the coffee table blends in nicely with the black iron chandelier. This room is multi-purpose and very nicely done. It is a warm, and yet not a dark room, and has comfortable seating and good functionality.
