Finally went back to EatAlley for a second visit, after going during their soft launch. Consistency is key with any eatery, so I wanted to see if the dishes I enjoyed tasted according to memory. I’m glad to report that the Nasi Lemak, Signature Pork Noodles & Hokkien Mee tasted exactly as I tried a month or so back. 🥰👍 The Nasi Lemak was a standout like previously, with a fluffy, fragrant, coconutty rice, and the crispy chicken drumstick was stellar. I’m glad I added the Sambal Sotong (squid) (for an extra $3), so this dish was lip-smacking. The pork soup — whilst very slurpsome & suitably robust, ranking high on my list — took a long time to prepare/make. It wasn’t that there were many people ahead of me — my number was 266. And when i sat down, it was only 262. Just 4 bowls ahead and it took 15-20 mins…. 😅 Maybe they were short handed. I don’t know. But hey, I guess the wait was kinda worth it. I enjoyed the broth a lot. 👍💕 So if you do wanna order this, just be aware that a wait would be necessary. The service staff taking orders have remained the same too. I recognised them and chatted with them too haha 😆 The only thing which people have remarked are the prices. And yes. They are not like Malaysian prices yah. The Nasi Lemak came up to $11.80, whilst the pork soup was $10.80. But honestly, this is Orchard Central…. I mean… I’m not gonna be expecting regular prices. I’m glad to say that at least the dishes are largely yummy. So…. I wanna go back for their wonton mee.
