Let’s talk Instagram followers: 100k was a goal of mine last year. I have posted consistently, truly connected with my followers, and yet saw many other accounts zoom past me to that coveted 6 figure mark while I remained stagnant. I wavered between it not bothering me at all and wondering what was wrong with me. But the truth is — follower count doesn’t equal success. There are smol bizzies that have 203 followers that are more successful than me and my little team. My business has continued to grow at a rate I can handle. I’m a mom and that is a full time job on all its own, and I’m a home keeper and that is also a full time job all on its own. I’m invested offline in my friendships and community. For whatever reason, this account has grown at the rate it has and other accounts have grown at they rate *they* have and we all measure success in different ways! I no longer have follower count goals. I have business goals. Personal growth goals. Giving goals. Family goals. Financial goals. Goat-and-chicken-owning goals. But follower goals is way, way down on the list, as much as I appreciate my community on here and acknowledge Instagram is a great tool! Don’t fall into the trap of comparison, you’re doing great! I remember when 10k followers was a dream, and I’m so grateful for the many, many of you!
