The Off switch is one of the first things I taught Sia. Because of that she has always known when to take her rest and she was an absolute dream as a puppy. Lots of puppies can get overly stimulated when they don't get a nap on time and might start biting your fingers, clothes, the leash.. it's a sign their brain has had to much and they can't process any more incentives. Time for a nap to process everything they saw and learned! Now you might think that once your dog is an adult that you don't need to watch his sleeping schedule anymore. NOT TRUE! 😱 For highly active dogs it's all the more important to check their sleeping schedule. Because bordercollies are highly active dogs their adrenaline can be up constantly. Always being on adrenaline is damaging for the body, so the body needs time to destress. Naps and sleep do that. ➡️ So how do you start?
