🍁 Add these WNC hikes to your list for the first two weeks of October 🍁 📌 SAVE for your fall planning and SHARE with someone you want to hit the trails with! Based on elevation and fall color predictions, these are trails that are likely to peak earlier in the season! 1️⃣ Rough Ridge- 2.7 miles RT and located right on the Blue Ridge Parkway. 2️⃣ Waterrock Knob- This one is short and sweet at only 1 mile RT and you can even see amazing views from the parking lot if you’re a non-hiker. 3️⃣ Grandfather Trail to Calloway’s Peak- this is a challenging trail at Grandfather Mountain that includes ladders and cables. You can also check out the Mile High Swinging Bridge for a much less strenuous option. Note that this park has entrance fees. 4️⃣ Devil’s Courthouse- this is another short trail at only 0.8 miles RT, but don’t let that deceive you— it’s very steep but well worth it for the views.
