The summer was coming to an end. And in the ever lengthening shadows I felt the breath of the coming winter You said you would not go away But I know it's always been like this Again and again I walk along the coast I let my gaze wander from the green hills Longing towards the horizon You said you wouldn't go away forever But I begin to read between the lines All the flowers I sowed to greet you Are now withered in my garden Day after day, year after year I have looked for you but there you were on endless journeys And I hoped my longing would be silenced. The sun is low these days my thoughts are scattered like leaves in the wind A transparent dream most of the time I just let it pass by What has become of our desires?
