🌈BIG NEWS🌈 In September 2023, we established the Global Kawaii Association! Our mission is to explore “kawaii” around the world and support creatives both inside and outside of Japan. We aim to help spread awareness of the cultural significance of kawaii for people’s lives globally. ⋆ ⋆ ❤️About the association❤️ The Global Kawaii Association was founded by three kawaii specialists. 💖💛💙💚💜🧡 Meg( @megan_catherine_rose_research ), a researcher with 10 years experience,represents kawaii in an academic capacity. 🌸Rei( @rei_saionji ) is a previous business owner from Harajuku, and currently works with kawaii traditional artists across Japan. 🚀And there’s me! 🧸 Together we have been writing research papers and presenting globally on Harajuku & Kawaii since 2018. From traditional arts to POP culture, we hope to further develop the KAWAII community! But importantly we would also like to promote intercultural exchange that is inclusive diverse and respectful. We want to help others understand the cultural significance of kawaii for Japan, and foster a kinder world. 🌏🎪💫 ⋆ ⋆ 🤍Important Considerations🤍 The Global Kawaii Association is not an organization that monopolizes or dictates rules for KAWAII culture💐. We are a team dedicated to supporting KAWAII-themed studies, artists and creators across borders.
