| . Xerjoff - Hayat “Kemi” . . Xerjoff's Hayat is for the hardcore oud lovers. Not that sweet, kind, elegant oud, but that Middle Eastern oud best suited for niche lovers looking for something different and challenging. At first spray, I was so impressed and shocked at the same time. I probably think the scent burned my nose hairs as well. Joking aside, this is really oud-heavy and for the more experienced oud lovers. The performance is just outstanding; I barely have such strong scents in my collection. Overall, it is challenging, I must admit, but after some time in the drydown phase, it settles and gets less oudy and less animalic. You are left with a sweet cardamom smell combined with lavender and bitter orange. For some reason, it reminds me of “Oud wood” from Tom Ford but the niche version of it.
