Quality Coffee = @cafecalida. #ad Husband and wife Anton and @lisetadkins opened this #chicagoneighborhoodgems in #HumboldtParkChicago in February of 2022. Liset, who is Guatemalan, was raised in the neighborhood just steps away from the café. She and her husband wanted to carve out a beautiful and welcoming space for the community, where people could gather and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. As an African American, Anton expressed the importance of representation in the coffee and coffeehouse community. Quality translated to Spanish is “calidad” which often times is pronounced “calidá” by many Latinos. It’s only fitting that this bright, beautiful and inviting space is called Café Calidá. Liset, quien es guatemalteca, fue aquí creada en el barrio - solo a unos pasos del café. Ella y su esposo querían crear un espacio lindo y acogedor para la comunidad, dónde la gente se podía reunir y disfrutar de una buena taza de café. Como afroamericano, Anton expresó la importancia de representación en el mundo del café. El nombre representa un pedazo de lo que ofrecen, café de alta calidad. Para ver todo lo de mas que ofrecen, ¡hay que visitarlo hoy! Si quieren rentar el espacio para una reunión, fiesta o evento; solo hay que hablar con Antón y Liset 😉
