👆THIS is what dogs greeting for the first time should look like 🙌 Dog parks can be a risky place to take your dog unless you’re extremely confident in your ability to manage the dogs around you and your dog. A key to being able to do that is knowing dog body language and being able to recognize any signs of discomfort or distress and interrupting the interaction immediately. It’s also important to know your own dog and how they handle different situations with different dogs. So what does a good interaction between two strange dogs look like? Here’s a perfect example! Neither dog should be overly assertive or pushy about interacting with the other dog, and they are just as content to leave each other alone as they are to interact. If you slow this video down, you can spot dozens of micro expressions and body language cues such as when they open and close their mouths, the shifts in their body weight (forward or back), the look always, tail position changes and more.
