The power of art ❤️ Without a doubt, this is the most rewarding feeling Iv ever had as an artist. Sales, followers, recognition, it’s all so wonderful… but helping heal myself and others takes the cake. My girlfriend and I just lost our sweet boy Kurtis a couple months ago and i planned to eventually do a painting of him. We celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday and I knew the best gift I could give her would be this. Revealing it to her, my family and friends made me feel whole again. I cried so many times while painting this… it just felt like Kurtis was home again. Now this massive portrait hangs above our tv and we will see it everyday going forward. I even put some of his ashes in the painting so that he can physically be a part of it.
