It was two years ago this week that I travelled to the province of Quebec to explore this beautiful region of Canada. One of my favorite hikes was to check out the Carbide Wilson Ruins in Gatineau Park. Built in 1911, the site originally consisted of a dam, generating station and an acid condensation tower used in the production of fertilizer.
