So grateful to be doing this for so long and to still be playing to receptive crowds .....who l persuade to do the Manowar "Sign of the Hammer" Since Enrage "got back" we have only headlined maybe 3x. That being the reunion, the European going away party and maybe one more. Other than that, we've had the honor to open for so many bigger bands and nationals . We've somewhat recently made a conscious effort to play gigs out of our comfort zone. We did Punk Island over the Summer and yesterday we were sandwiched between some extreme death metal bands. To be honest, we loved supporting the few straight up metal shows we've done. I can't tell you how many times I've seen HC bands play a metal show and almost mock the crowd. From early on, l swore not to patronize the audience. We are playing in their house so be thankful . I'm not gonna yell the HC clichés to a crowd of rattleheads. It humbles me to see so many people still support this band decades later but more so , to play to audiences that have never seen us. I would say at least 75% of the crowd at #RichmondRageFest never saw us and I'm thankful for them checking us out having a good time and putting their fists in the air.
