CONNY PLANK & EURYTHMICS: Conny Plank was of course one of the most important and pioneering producers ever and his sonics have moved the world of music in a mammoth way. He produced so many amazing artists and bands, one of which was an early album for Eurythmics before they hit the big time called “In the Garden” in 1981 that featured members of Can (Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay) as well as Clem Burke the drummer in Blondie. When you listen to the album you get a sense of where they were headed and it sounds quite a bit different than their hit “Sweet Dreams” but still very cool. There’s a copy of a DEVO poster on the back wall from “Duty No For the Future” but slightly modified. And that console is a total custom build if I’m not mistaken where so many seminal records were created.
