Here’s a transformation for ya! 🥳 Swipe to see the stats from last year to now. I love comparing preps and seeing what went right and what didn’t. . . I took a year away from prep and my body is refreshed and responding amazing again! In my time in off season I reflected a lot on how my last year went. I recognized that I don’t do well with slow, long preps. I’ve always been able to be stage ready within 6-12 weeks of starting prep. I was just mentally and physically out of it last year and knew I should have sat it out however I pushed through and did what I could. I learned a lot from my prep experience last year. I am able to be real with myself and learned to follow my gut when it tells me things aren’t right. I had at a point said that I wasn’t in the right headspace to compete however I felt like I couldn’t let those around me down and felt pushed to show up. I went against what my heart, mind and gut were telling me and my body resisted hard. Of course there were other health things along with loads of stress that effected me, however mentally I knew that performing subpar to what I’m used to as an athlete was only going to get me so far. While I placed well a few times, I know I could have been better if I had just taken a break before deciding to prep. Anyways, I’m excited about this transformation, not only physically but also mentally. Having @ccash15_ifbbpro as my coach has brought a whole other level of intensity in how I view my prep, my training and the road ahead. He’s no BS about the way he approaches coaching me, he lays it straight, tells me what I need to do and expects nothing less than perfection and that’s exactly what I’ve needed. There’s no room for error on my part and I refuse to disappoint.
