Hi furriends, Meowmy and Manami are facing challenging times. Last week Meowmy had terrible headaches as Manami was crying a lot when she was exploring the house and Meowmy spent most of her time trying to rest in bed. She kept telling Manami that she’s welcome and safe here as a member of the family but she needs to be quiet and respect the other beings that share the house with her but it didn’t work out. . So yesterday Meowmy decided to limit her access to the full house and close the door of the living room most of the day. One step forward, two steps back. But at least it’s better than the bathroom as the living room is very cosy and has a beautiful natural light. . Meowmy was at the end of the rope and told Manami that her cries gave her strong headaches and that if she was sick, she couldn’t take care of all of us the kitties in Mikeyland. During the night and early this morning Manami kept scratching the door. . When Meowmy opened the living room door in the morning, Manami was behind it like usually, but she surprisingly didn’t ran away when Meowmy approched her. She even let her pet her and enjoyed cuddling with her on the couch. It was such a wonderful moment as Meowmy couldn’t touch her since she left the bathroom and she had missed petting her so much. . Something happened overnight. Manami still cries when she goes out of the living room but she’s rather quiet in the living room. I hope she finally understands that being FIV+ she will be very vulnerable if she’s released back outside, that Meowmy’s well being is crucial and that it’s in her own interest to live with us and contribute to a peaceful home environment.
