Brady had his first ever teeth cleaning today and he did great! This was right after we picked him up…he was very loopy 🫠😂. To my surprise none of his teeth had to be pulled, but he did have a gingivectomy and gingivoplasty around two teeth, which is the removal of diseased gum tissue and reshaping of the gums around his teeth. It’s always a little nerve wracking when putting your dog (especially a senior dog) under anesthesia as there are always risks…and the last time Brady went under was 8 years ago! But his pre-op bloodwork and x-rays were perfect, so we weren’t too worried. That said it’s still a HUGE relief to have this done and over with, and to know he’s now super healthy in every way and set up for success for the later years of his life 🙏.
