Death on the Nile feels. Kind of. I was certainly not dressed as Poirot would’ve deemed appropriate but it was sweltering. It isn’t my first time at the Pyramids of Giza and I could’ve stayed by the pool but who can resist visiting these mysterious and magnificent structures, especially when they’re literally just down the road. It was my third time touching the African continent this year. Didn’t think I’d do it so soon after my East African adventure with the mountain gorillas in July. I still have yet to make it up the Nile to southern Egypt. I want to do it on the PS Sudan where David Suchet’s Death on the Nile was filmed. That’s totally on the bucket list. I also can’t wait for the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza to open.
