Black Dog Day 🐈‍⬛. A completely stitched embroidered artwork, almost complete. I have been working on this one over the Summer. Originally I was going to enter her into an art competition but I didn't complete her in time. Typical me, but you can't rush embroidery work. I have painted her about four times too. Embroidered and stitched onto vintage linen and lace. The black background was created using fragments of silk that are stitched in the Japanese style of fabric mending. On the top right hand side is a black Labrador. She gets her title as you are probably aware from one expression of depression. So so many people struggle with it. Sending love to all who do, especially you, if so. Everything can look so perfect on the outside 🤍 I felt her pain as I created every stitch. But there is always hope.
