Before and after - a healing home for *Pearl and her two young children. Thank you to everyone who sent this family a gift from the wish list, your kindness and generosity always blows us away. Thank you too to our generous supporter Rosa, who kindly bought new bunk beds for the children. *Pearl and her children were living in a one room bedsit full of black mould for months after escaping domestic abuse. They were overjoyed to be given a permanent home, but it was empty without any flooring, furniture or white goods. *Pearl has been through a lot and asked for a calming space with a study area as she will be returning to college soon, while the children wanted a lilac and red bedroom. We did our best to deliver ❤️ Thanks to your generosity, our brand partners and donors and our incredible team, they now have a beautiful healing home in which to rebuild their lives. *Pearl was completely overwhelmed when she saw the finished flat for the first time, and said it has brought out her inner child as it’s made her so happy. Her children, who had been sleeping on bare floorboards until we supported them, were so excited they immediately hung their coats on their new hooks, put their shoes on the shoe rack and jumped onto their beds. The oldest child said they would be able to get a good nights sleep tonight, and their home is ‘fancy’ and ‘awesome’ 😍. We hope this will be an important step on their journey to recovery.
