I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! Turning 30 is obviously quite the milestone, one which inspires a dichotomy of feelings. As I’m sure many other women my age will agree, there is a societal pressure to be absolutely settled into your life by 30- be married, have kids, basically have it all figured out. I’ve been unkindly told that not having these things even by 29 meant I was “out of options.” I do slowly feel the narrative shifting (as it should), one where women are freer to be more independent until if or when they choose to settle down. I love my life- my career, my interests, being Zoey's mom. I wouldn’t change it for anything. So here’s to the death of my 20’s and the birth of a beautiful new decade.
