The world’s richest person has not disclosed how much he plans to charge users, but has said it will be a "small amount of money.” X Blue, the company’s current opt-in paid subscription, is $8 per month. On Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr.'s X Blue account was hacked posting a series of unhinged tweets about President Joe Biden, Jeffrey Epstein, and North Korea. One tweet falsely claimed that his father had died and that he would be running for president in 2024. Conservatives, including Trump Jr., praised Musk's takeover of Twitter in October 2022. Musk has relaxed content moderation rules on the platform in support of "free speech" and has also reinstated a number of accounts by users that were previously banned, including former President Donald Trump.
