TIM BLAKE / GONG & HAWKWIND: Tim, aka Hi T Moonweed was another crazy important influence for me based on his wonderful playing and sounds on the fantastic Gong trilogy “Radio Gnome Invisible”, “Angels Egg” and “You”. Hi magical sonics from his EMS Synthi and Minimoog were so inspiring and added such terrific electronic textures to the bands music. That band was just amazingly talented and Daevid Allen’s mystical visions and songs were beyond cool. Tim went on to do great work with Hawkwind for many years which is this photo’s origin. His dual EMS Synthi’s were used then and on his great solo albums as well. I believe they now belong to Benge in his Memetone Studio.
