The architecture studio CoBe Architecture et Paysage has just built two buildings for housing, work, vocational training, and economic development in Place Laherrère, in the heart of the Zaragoza neighborhood, in the French city of Pau, in the southwest of the country. This neighborhood was built between 1950 and 1960 and is identified as a territory of great social fragility despite being one of the most important social housing districts with 14,000 inhabitants. This program, led by Pau Béarn Habitat, creates a wide range of housing for students and young workers while creating office and training spaces, craft stores, shops, and local services divided into two 11,210 sqm buildings. The main intention of the project was to build a living space following the model of the Laherrère square, so the two L-shaped buildings adopt the same volumetry and materiality of the square. #arquitectura #architecture @cobearchitecture #photography #fotografía @lucboegly #metalocus #housing #viviendas
